FAQs

What is the structure of the playdate?

The activity portion of the playdate takes place first, which is around 40 minutes on average depending on the activity.

Once the activity is completed, families can leave or continue on to free play.

Light refreshments are provided. Families are welcome to bring their own nibbles. However, we ask that you avoid food allergens and seek approval before sharing food.

Do we have to attend both the activity and free play?

No, we understand that families are time poor. The activity portion of the playdate takes place first. Once the activity is completed, families can leave or continue on to free play.

If you aren’t able to attend the activity, you are still welcome to come along and join after for free play.

Where do the playdates take place?

The locations change from month to month to keep the environment fun and stimulating. We gather in local playgrounds for the fresh air and accessibility. In some cases we will travel a little further to explore new play spaces or use a venue.

We aim to disclose the playgroup location, roughly 2 weeks prior, as we monitor the unpredictable weather and decide on the most appropriate space.

What happens if the weather works against us?

In the unfortunate circumstance where it rains or is too hot, we will try to secure an indoor space. If we are unable to do so, we will postpone the playdate to another date.

If we are unable to reschedule the playdate, we can return your fee, or you can raincheck for another playdate.

Your fee contribution.

There are costs associated with running activities. These costs are absorbed by us. We try to make our activities exciting and fun with theme related arts & crafts, toys and treats.

Your contribution covers some the costs associated with the purchase of supplies, set up and clean up. There is no fixed amount, as a guide, we recommend $5 per child, per session.
