Welcome to

Who are we

Capybara Playgroup is run by a family with little ones, for families with little ones. We strive to offer a safe, inclusive and warm environment for children to explore their imagination, creativity and mobility.

Our mascot

Capybara, known as the friendly neighbour, they are famously recognised as the most social creature. Capybaras enjoy hanging out with other species, such as birds, cats, dogs, monkeys, rabbits, llamas and other domestic pets; representing an inclusive and a welcoming nature.

Who should come along?

Everyone. We welcome and encourage all children of all abilities and capabilities. We understand the importance of providing all children with the opportunity to socialise and be part of a community.

There are many reasons to join a playgroup:

  • Social connection and support for children and families
  • To give children and families opportunities to make new friendships/relationships
  • Provide a safe and supportive space for children to develop social, physical and cognitive skills through play and activities
  • Provide a safe space for children and families to express themselves openly

How you can get involved

We rely on the kindness of individuals, families and businesses to donate time and resources to make our playdates happen.

To develop confidence and leadership, we encourage the children to get involved, they can do this by organising or leading an activity or running a game. There are multiple ways for children to get involved, if you’re interested, please get in contact with us.

If you would like to get involved or make a donation, please reach out, we would love to hear from you.
